Service Technician - Residential

About The Position

The Service Technician works in the field to perform warranty services and occasionally obtain measurements for new installations. The role is central to delivering a 5-star customer experience and involves direct interaction with customers. Technicians are expected to arrive on time for scheduled appointments and complete an average of two to four appointments per day. The position is with ImproveIt Home Remodeling, a family-owned remodeling company that has operated for more than 37 years.

Requirements

General knowledge of residential construction and basic home improvement and maintenance.
Ability to accurately take measurements and translate them into a variety of applications.
Strong verbal communication skills and English literacy.
Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing workloads.
Familiarity with iPads, mobile smartphones, and business or technology applications.
Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on quality and results.
Well-organized, punctual, self-starting, efficient, and productive; able to work well with a team.
Valid driver’s license.
At least 5 years of residential remodeling construction experience, including light plumbing, electrical, and bathroom-related work.
At least 3 years of exterior residential home improvement experience, particularly window replacements and bathroom remodeling.

Responsibilities

Perform warranty services in customers’ homes.
Occasionally obtain measurements for new installations.
Interact directly with customers and deliver a 5-star service experience.
Maintain a preset schedule of job assignments and arrive on time for appointments.
Complete an average of two to four appointments per day.
