About The Position

The Service Technician diagnoses, maintains, and repairs customer vehicles. The role performs work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership procedures, tests vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and completes warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications. The technician communicates with Service Advisors about additional service needs so customers can be informed, and provides estimates of the time required for additional repairs.

Requirements

• ASE certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership procedures.
• Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor when additional service is needed so customers can be informed.
• Provide estimates of the time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
