About The Position

Acura of Avon, an automotive dealership located in Canton, Connecticut, is seeking a full-time flat-rate Service Technician to diagnose and repair Acura and other vehicles and help ensure they operate at peak performance. Dealership experience is not required. The role also focuses on maintaining customer satisfaction through exceptional service. Compensation is described as a competitive flat-rate/hourly wage, and employees receive medical and dental coverage, a retirement savings plan, uniforms, and paid time off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2–3 years of experience as a Service Technician.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Technical or vocational school degree.
ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and basic vehicle inspections.
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on Acura vehicles.
Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to diagnose and repair vehicle issues accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures and protocols.
Communicate repair and maintenance recommendations effectively with colleagues and provide a video of a multipoint inspection.
Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and education programs provided by Acura.
