About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Elmhurst Acura. The technician will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to dealership and factory standards, diagnose vehicle issues, and help build customer trust and loyalty. The role is part of a large, growing automotive dealership group affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and over 50 dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

The position offers top-of-market wages of $45.15–$48.75 for experienced technicians with Honda/Acura experience, top flat-rate hours on customer and internal work, fair work distribution, organized special tools, options for multiple lifts, flexible work shifts, and weekend options. The company also offers training, certifications, cross-training, and career advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification is desirable.
• Honda/Acura experience for the advertised experienced-technician wage range.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
• Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.
