About The Position

Friendly Acura, described as the premier Acura dealership in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a top-producing B or C technician with prior auto technician experience. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, completing work according to repair orders and dealership policies, and communicating with the Service Advisor about additional service needs. Technicians also complete online multi-point inspection reports and perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications. The position offers a five-day work schedule with no Sundays, paid vacation, full medical benefits, an excellent pay plan, an air-conditioned shop, and an on-site Technical Advisor to support career advancement. The stated salary range is $50,000–$80,000, based on experience.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as an auto technician.
Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
Ability to learn quickly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Computer literacy.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma.
New York State Inspectors License.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies.
Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and test-drive vehicles.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed when additional service is needed.
Complete online multi-point inspection reports.
Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
