About The Position

Friendly Acura, described as a premier Acura dealership in the Hudson Valley, is hiring a top-producing B or C automotive technician. Prior auto technician experience is required. The role includes a five-day work schedule with no Sundays, paid vacation, full medical benefits, an experience-based pay plan, an air-conditioned shop, and an on-site Technical Advisor to support career advancement. The stated pay range is $50,000–$80,000, based upon experience.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as an auto technician.
Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
Ability to learn quickly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Computer literacy.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma.
New York State Inspectors License.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies.
Test vehicle components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment, and test-drive vehicles.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed when additional service is needed.
Complete online multi-point inspection reports.
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
