About The Position

Village Green is hiring a Service Technician II for The View at Rock Run in Joliet, Illinois. The role involves completing maintenance work orders and special projects, responding to resident service requests, maintaining apartments and property grounds, and providing friendly, customer-oriented service. Duties include HVAC-related work, plumbing and electrical repairs, apartment turns, appliance repair or replacement, and upkeep of pools and common areas when applicable. The position also includes on-call emergency response as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager, as well as housekeeping and seasonal snow removal as needed. The listed pay is $23–$26 per hour plus bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong experience in plumbing, electrical work, appliances, and painting.
Excellent customer service skills.
General computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience in the hotel industry or multifamily housing.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders and special projects in a timely manner.
Perform HVAC-related maintenance.
Complete plumbing and electrical service requests and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
Complete apartment turns, including plumbing, electrical work, drywall repair, painting, and appliance repair or replacement.
Provide residents with friendly, customer service-oriented assistance.
Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies as directed by the Property Manager and Service Manager, completing work professionally and promptly.
Help maintain the property's exterior and curb appeal daily.
Perform housekeeping duties as required and snow removal during winter months when needed.
Maintain pools, spas, and pool areas if applicable.
