About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced Service Tech in the San Antonio, Texas area. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service while servicing petroleum equipment. Technicians receive updated training and certifications to support career development and work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees. The position may include helping a trainee complete their training and certifications. Hours vary according to workload and customer needs and are not a typical 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees as part of a team.
Assist trainees with completing their training and certifications when paired with them.
