About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced Service Tech for the Jacksonville, Florida area. The role supports customers’ fueling and charging equipment needs through troubleshooting, repair, installation, programming, testing, and preventive maintenance of petroleum equipment and fueling systems. Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees, and may assist trainees with their training and certifications. The position is service-oriented and requires explaining technical issues to customers in a non-technical manner. Hours vary according to workload and customer needs rather than following a typical 8-to-5 shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver's license and a good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees; assist trainees with training and certifications when paired with them.
