About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician in the Orlando area to maintain and service petroleum fueling equipment. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, install, program, and test fueling equipment and electronic point-of-sale systems, and perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. The role involves communicating technical issues to customers in plain language and working with branch managers, dispatchers, experienced technicians, and trainees. Technicians may be paired with a trainee to support their training and certifications. The position does not follow a typical 8-to-5 schedule; hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. SPATCO provides updated training and certifications to help experienced technicians advance in the petroleum industry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
• Valid dispenser certification(s).
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including equipment from Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
• Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical language.
• Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, experienced technicians, and trainees; at times, assist trainees with training and certifications.
