About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician to support customers’ fueling and charging needs. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, installs, programs, and tests petroleum equipment and fueling systems, including gasoline dispensers and electronic point-of-sale systems. The role works alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; technicians may help trainees complete their training and certifications. The position does not follow a typical 8–5 schedule, and hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. It involves daily local travel and outdoor work in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees; at times assist trainees with training and certifications.
