About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced Service Tech to support fueling and charging customers in the Fort Myers, Florida area. The role services petroleum equipment and systems, including gasoline dispensers and electronic point-of-sale systems. The technician works alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees, and may assist trainees with their training and certifications. Updated training and certifications are provided to help technicians advance in the petroleum industry. This position does not follow a typical 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule; hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. Work includes daily local travel and outdoor duties in all types of weather, with lifting of 50–75 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and a good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including equipment from Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as needed.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
Work collaboratively with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees; at times assist trainees with training and certifications.
