About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced service technician in the Tallahassee, Florida area. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, installs, programs, and tests petroleum fueling equipment and electronic point-of-sale systems, and performs scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. The role involves communicating technical issues clearly to customers and working alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other technicians, and, at times, trainees. SPATCO provides updated training and certifications to support career advancement. This position does not follow a typical 8 a.m.–5 p.m. shift; hours may vary based on workload and customer needs. The work includes daily local travel and outdoor work in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally daily.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; at times assist trainees with their training and certifications.
