About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an entry-level Service Tech Trainee to learn routine maintenance and troubleshooting of customer fueling equipment. The role includes company-provided training and certification to support career advancement. Training sessions may take place outside the employee’s local area; the company pays for training, lodging, and meals.

Hours may vary, with at least 40 hours of work per week and overtime. Most calls are completed during the day shift. After training, the employee will join an on-call rotation. The position involves daily local travel and work at customer sites, including retail gas stations, commercial locations, hospitals, travel stops, and government facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete petroleum service calls for customers.
• Complete service call paperwork after each call.
• Communicate with the service dispatcher and manager.
• Explain technical issues to customers in non-technical terms.
• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units and point-of-sale systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
