About The Position

The Planned Maintenance (PM) Technician performs scheduled maintenance on lift trucks within a designated service zone in the Stockbridge-Ellenwood-Conley area. The technician serves as the primary service contact for customers, building and maintaining customer relationships and communicating about repairs or maintenance needed to keep forklifts safe and in proper operating condition. The role manages the planned maintenance program, including service intervals within the assigned zone. Technicians average 6–8 PMs per day.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record and a clean, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Clear penmanship and the ability to record accurate information.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Ability to keep a company vehicle at the employee’s place of residence.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally more than 75 lbs.
• Physical stamina for continuous full-body movement, including climbing, reaching, pushing, and lifting.
• Knowledge of proper safety procedures when working around moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled planned maintenance on lift trucks within the designated service zone.
• Build and maintain customer relationships as the primary service contact.
• Communicate with customers about repairs and maintenance needed to keep forklifts safe and in proper operating condition.
• Manage the planned maintenance program, including service intervals in the assigned zone.
• Conduct minor forklift repairs and thorough inspections to identify needed repairs.
• Document and report potential or additional repairs on every PM work order.
• Consult with customers about needed repairs or additional maintenance.
• Communicate daily activities with zone teammates to help the zone achieve 100% PM completion.
• Keep the PM vehicle clean and stocked with supplies.
