Service Supervisor - MBU dining services
About The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and cafeteria services at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, MO. As the Service Supervisor, you would be expected to supervise all service personnel, including full-time, part-time, and college student employees in preparing the kitchen and cafeteria spaces for each meal service, including training personnel in tasks as well as assisting in daily service operations, serving meals to students and guests to the MoBap campus, as well as helping to maintain a safe, sanitary work environment and following all company, state, and federal guidelines/standards regarding safety and sanitation.
Requirements
- Two-year minimum experience in front of house & supervision
- Prior food service experience
- Prior customer service experience
- High school diploma, secondary education helpful
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic Computer Knowledge
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Manager certified a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee the dining hall
- Engage with guests, providing service in a positive, friendly & helpful manner
- Ensure timeliness of food service for each meal time, including cleanliness, garnishing items on the service lines, utilizing proper portion control techniques.
- Ensure the serving lines are properly garnished
- Train new service employees according to prescribed training schedule & proper portion control
- Communicate with all production, kitchen or front-of-house staff any problems
- May help lead safety meetings or other trainings
- Assist the Dining Management with events or other tasks as assigned.
