DINING SERVICES SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for a DINING SERVICES SUPERVISOR position at Quinnipiac University. This is a full-time role responsible for monitoring the food service operation to ensure the production of top-quality products and service. The position involves supporting daily food service operations, supervising and coaching employees, assisting with scheduling and labor management, and ensuring food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met. The role also includes assisting the Food Service Director with administrative and operational responsibilities such as inventory, ordering, customer service, and training.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Support daily food service operations and ensure all stations are properly staffed, prepared, and operating efficiently.
- Supervise and coach employees, including assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and addressing attendance or performance concerns.
- Support scheduling and labor management, including shift coverage, timekeeping, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently followed in accordance with company and university requirements.
- Assist the Food Service Director with administrative and operational responsibilities, including inventory, ordering, customer service, training, and daily/weekly operational follow-up.
- Performs inventory management to maintain high valuation and minimal waste.
- Ensures that staff is on task, quality assurance standards are being met, and the operation is clean and organized.
- Monitors marketing, confirming that signage is current and appropriate.
- Upholds policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and client expectations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
