Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a state food handlers’ card or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of employment
Ability to work with patience, sensitivity, and empathy
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Candidates must also complete a QuantiFERON Gold TB Blood Test as part of their pre-hire drug screen and physical.
Illinois Health Care Worker Background Check Act Screening
National, State, County Criminal Background Checks
Federal and state exclusion screening (OIG/Medicare/Medicaid)

Experience in food service or long-term care, especially memory care or assisted living
High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and service to support resident dining needs
Maintain clean, safe, and organized dining and food prep areas
Follow dietary and infection control guidelines
Provide respectful and supportive mealtime assistance
Observe and report changes in residents’ eating habits
