About The Position

Tire Discounters is a family-owned tire and automotive service retailer. The Service Manager leads and supports Service and Tire Technicians to provide high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for shop operations, including bay management and workflow, and communicates between the shop, counter staff, and customers. The Service Manager promotes safety and service quality while ensuring inspection and diagnostic procedures are followed and customers receive professional, timely recommendations. The position offers a career path from Service Manager to General Manager to Regional Manager.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive service or repair; certifications are preferred.
• Management experience and strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work Saturdays.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years old.
• Comfort with occasional mechanical hazards and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and train shop employees.
• Manage employee performance and assist the General Manager with hiring.
• Oversee smooth shop operations, including bay management and location workflow.
• Communicate clearly between the shop, counter staff, and customers.
• Ensure inspection and diagnostic procedures are followed and provide customers with professional, timely recommendations.
• Promote safety and lead the team in meeting quality and service standards and delivering outstanding customer service.
