About The Position

Tire Discounters is seeking a Service Manager to lead and support a team of Service and Tire Technicians in delivering high-quality automotive service and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for smooth shop operations, including bay management and workflow, and for communication among the shop, counter staff, and customers. The Service Manager also promotes safety and service standards while ensuring inspection and diagnostic procedures are followed and customers receive professional, timely recommendations.

The position offers a stated career path from Service Manager to General Manager to Regional Manager. Compensation is $55,000–$85,000+ annually. Service Managers receive a weekly hourly rate, monthly individual spiffs, and participation in the monthly store bonus.

Requirements

• Experience in automotive service or repair; certifications are preferred.
• Management experience and strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Strong work ethic and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work Saturdays.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Authorized to work in the USA and at least 18 years old.
• Comfort with occasional mechanical hazards and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor, and train shop employees; manage performance; and assist the General Manager with hiring.
• Oversee smooth shop operations, including bay management and location workflow.
• Provide clear communication between the shop, counter staff, and customers.
• Ensure inspection and diagnostic procedures are followed and provide customers with professional, timely recommendations.
• Promote safety and ensure quality and service standards while leading the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
