SERVICE CENTER AREA MANAGER - SOUTH CENTRAL
About The Position
McElroy Metal is hiring a Service Center Area Manager for its South Central area, covering Diamond, Missouri; Little Rock, Arkansas; Bossier City and Alexandria, Louisiana; and Pearl, Mississippi. This exempt-level position provides leadership and direction to multiple Service Centers. The manager develops Store Managers, drives sales growth, improves profitability, and maintains operational excellence by building strong teams, establishing accountability, identifying business opportunities, and aligning operations with company goals. The position reports directly to the General Manager of Service Centers. The stated schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. McElroy Metal is an employee-owned manufacturer of metal roofing, metal siding, and sub-structural components. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Sales or customer service experience in metal components and/or roofing products.
- At least 5 years of experience in the metal building industry or a related business.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and business operations.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
- Construction experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate Service Center Managers while establishing accountability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate safety, facilities, and operational performance.
- Analyze financial performance and develop action plans to improve profitability.
- Drive sales growth through customer development, sales strategies, and market expansion.
- Evaluate market conditions, competitive activity, pricing, and expansion opportunities.
- Coordinate facility maintenance, improvements, and lease matters with company leadership.
- Support managers in resolving customer concerns, product issues, and warranty claims.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, product mix, availability, and inventory procedures.
