About The Position

The Service Associate I completes face-to-face customer banking transactions, sells and cross-sells bank products and services, and provides exceptional customer service. The role supports the Bank’s mission, vision, and philosophy; follows organizational policies and procedures; and supports functions that maintain regulatory compliance.

The position works on the teller line and may require long periods of standing. Hours vary by branch location, with Saturdays scheduled by rotation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Customer contact and cash-handling experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Good math skills.
• PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify the Bank’s 212 commitment to service.
• Process deposits and withdrawals, cash checks, and balance a cash drawer.
• Cash checks in accordance with SYB check-cashing policy.
• Sell official checks.
• Process and balance teller work through image capture.
• Engage customers and prospects to uncover needs and offer solutions through consultative selling.
• Assist with beginning-of-day, end-of-day, and other operational duties as needed.
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Support the Bank’s mission, vision, and philosophy and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
• Support functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.
