About The Position
Pizzeria Vetri is seeking a fast, organized, detail-oriented Service Assistant to support an exceptional guest experience at its King of Prussia location. The role supports accurate food delivery, clean and efficient dining spaces, communication between front- and back-of-house teams, and consistent service operations. It is suited to someone who enjoys a busy, guest-facing environment and wants to grow in hospitality. The Service Assistant delivers food and beverages, verifies dish accuracy and guest modifications or allergies, monitors dining room needs, and resets tables. The role also maintains and stocks service areas, supports safe and sanitary operations, organizes and runs tickets, communicates allergy information, packs to-go orders, manages delivery tablets, and assists servers and managers during busy periods and opening or closing sidework.
Requirements
- Restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm, and move quickly.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas, salads, and beverages with accurate, friendly introductions.
- Check dishes before delivery, confirming modifications, allergies, and order accuracy.
- Monitor dining room flow, support servers, offer refills, and anticipate guest needs.
- Clear, wipe, and reset tables promptly and maintain a welcoming dining environment.
- Keep expo, service stations, and to-go areas clean, stocked, and organized.
- Polish plates, glassware, and pizza trays; fold boxes; and restock glassware, plates, and pizza stands.
- Maintain clear walkways and follow sanitation and service standards.
- Learn table and seat numbers, ticket reading, and menu knowledge.
- Organize tickets by time and run food from the pass promptly.
- Follow allergy protocols and communicate clearly with front- and back-of-house teams.
- Pack and label to-go orders accurately and manage delivery tablets.
- Assist servers and managers during rush periods and complete opening and closing sidework.
