About The Position

AutoNation is a leading automotive retailer in the United States, providing a wide range of vehicles, financing, parts, and expert maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor at BMW of Carlsbad, you will be an integral part of a nationwide team, contributing to customer loyalty and ensuring vehicles are kept safe. You will work in a state-of-the-art service department, acting as the liaison between Service Technicians and customers. Your role will involve explaining technician recommendations in clear terms, identifying up-sell opportunities, and utilizing leading-edge technology to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers to ensure a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner upon arrival.
• Determine vehicle needs through customer information, vehicle walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Utilize a consultative selling process to help customers plan for ongoing vehicle maintenance.
• Generate repair orders, including transparent cost and time estimates.
• Collaborate with technicians and parts associates for timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on vehicle status according to their preferred communication method.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Acquire superior product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.
