About The Position

Tonkin Hillsboro Chevrolet is seeking an experienced, motivated Service Advisor to serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. The role involves helping customers understand service recommendations, coordinating repairs, and providing a smooth experience from vehicle check-in through delivery. Compensation is commission-based, with expected earnings of $5,000 to $8,000+ per month. Requirements

• Previous automotive service advisor experience is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on customer needs and manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare estimates and clearly explain repair recommendations.
• Coordinate with technicians to support timely and accurate repairs.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Review completed work and invoices with customers.
• Maintain strong customer satisfaction scores and customer retention.
• Follow dealership processes and manufacturer standards.
• Assist in achieving department sales and service goals.
