About The Position

The Server works as part of a restaurant team to take orders and serve food and beverages to guests. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, providing a welcoming and accommodating service experience, and ensuring food and beverages are served to a high standard. Servers coordinate the needs of the tables in their station, support restaurant cleanliness and safety, and follow service, cash-handling, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.

Requirements

• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, as applicable by state.
• Must hold certifications and licenses required by local Health Department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission statutes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to responsibly handle cash transactions.
• Ability to coordinate the needs of all tables within the assigned station.
• Ability to carry food and beverages.
• Ability to dance.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Physical ability to perform the functions of the job, including regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive service experience for every guest and help guests feel important and welcome.
• Ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold, and follow timing standards for products and services.
• Present menus, answer questions, make food and beverage suggestions, and use a positive suggestive-sales approach.
• Know the food, liquor, beer, wine, and retail items offered.
• Serve guests in an accommodating manner and deliver food and beverages to tables as needed.
• Coordinate the needs of all tables within the assigned station and look for ways to consolidate service and increase table turns.
• Pre-bus and bus tables and maintain table cleanliness.
• Look for ways to avoid waste and limit costs.
• Help keep the restaurant clean and safe and complete assigned daily cleaning calendar tasks.
• Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Participate in Celebration.
• Follow all cash-handling policies and procedures.
