About The Position

The Server provides prompt, courteous table service at the San Marcos Embassy Suites in San Marcos, Texas. The role includes greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, handling phone orders and reservations, coordinating amenity deliveries with the kitchen, processing payments, and keeping dining and service areas clean and organized. Servers follow safety, sanitation, and company policies and assist with guest issues as needed. Compensation is listed as $11.00; actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

Requirements

• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications, or willingness to obtain them within 60 days.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and being on your feet throughout the shift.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of customer service, restaurant, or cashier experience.
• Experience with the Micros point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take and deliver food and beverage orders.
• Provide prompt, courteous table service throughout guests’ visits.
• Handle phone orders and schedule reservations.
• Coordinate amenity deliveries with the kitchen.
• Process guest payments, reconcile receipts, and report tips for tax purposes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and assigned sections.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies.
• Assist with guest issues as needed.
