About The Position

The Wesleyan is a senior living and healthcare community in Georgetown, Texas, serving seniors for over 60 years. The community is hiring a full-time Server for its Independent Living community. The role requires a strong service orientation, customer-service skills, and a passion for providing residents with an excellent dining experience. The schedule is 10:30 AM–7:00 PM on varying days, including weekends.

Requirements

Experience working as a Server in a restaurant, healthcare, education, or senior living environment.
Outstanding customer service and a passion for providing an excellent dining experience.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Orientation toward serving others and helping customers.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
Passion for working within a senior living community.
Alignment with and enthusiasm about The Wesleyan's culture and core values.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare drinks, salads, foods, and desserts and set them up as directed.
Prepare the dining room and meal trays.
Greet residents and ensure their dining experience is going well.
Serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or their rooms, and check for requests for seconds or substitutions.
Perform general cleaning, which may include dishes, pots and pans, equipment, the dining room, floors, tables, and work areas.
Dispose of trash when responsible for doing so.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Dining Service.
