About The Position

The Server works in one of the Luxury Resort Style Property restaurants, providing friendly customer service and helping guests enjoy their meals. The role includes describing menu items and daily specials, taking and accurately communicating orders to the kitchen, serving food promptly, calculating bills, processing payments, and ensuring customers have what they need. The position operates in a restaurant setting that can be loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic, particularly during busy hours. Potential hazards include cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns, and frequent hand washing is required. The role is active and involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and occasionally lifting products weighing up to 20 pounds. Long hours and frequent weekend work are regularly required. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time. Requirements

Must be of legal age under state regulations to serve alcohol.
Prior server experience.
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
High school diploma or food safety training.

Responsibilities

Maintain a helpful, service-oriented approach with customers at all times.
Present menus and help customers select food and beverage choices.
Clearly communicate menu items and daily specials to diners.
Recommend items and answer customer questions about the menu.
Listen carefully to orders and accurately communicate them to chefs for preparation.
Remember and clearly convey ingredients in menu items and food and drink specials.
Deliver food to customers on time.
Work with the hostess, bartenders, cooks, and runners to create a pleasant dining experience.
Set up tables before, during, and after shifts to prepare for the next diners.
Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
Use professional language with customers at all times.
Accurately calculate bills, present checks, and process payments promptly.
