About The Position

Tattersall River Falls is hiring a Server to perform restaurant serving activities, with a primary responsibility for providing exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences. The role involves greeting guests, taking and serving orders, offering knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations, and attending to guests throughout their dining experience. Servers also process orders and payments, maintain table turnover, and keep assigned work areas clean and organized. The position is part-time, with varied shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

At least 1–2 years of related experience in a high-volume, high-energy food and beverage environment.
Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Alcohol service certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to walk, squat, reach, use hands, talk, hear, and see, and occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and professionally, take orders, and serve food and beverages according to established standards and service sequence.
Answer guest questions and recommend food and beverages, using an active approach to upselling.
Monitor guests’ dining experiences and respond to additional needs or requests.
Enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system; maintain accurate guest cover counts; total receipts, verify sales, and collect payment for food and beverages served.
Refresh tables, transport dirty dishes, and communicate with the host about seating, table arrangements, and turnover.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and beverages.
Keep designated work areas clean and organized.
Request proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages and monitor alcohol consumption.
