About The Position

The Expeditor communicates orders and information between the front and back of the house, assembles food orders, assists with checking their accuracy, presentation, and quality, and ensures that all orders for a table are ready together and delivered at the proper temperature. The role is based at Tattersall Distilling in River Falls, Wisconsin, whose culinary team prepares elevated New American cuisine using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients whenever possible. The team works collaboratively, intentionally, and creatively to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience in a high-volume, high-energy food and beverage environment.
Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to move up to 30 pounds frequently.
Ability to operate and use kitchen station tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate with guests, employees, and management.
Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly position oneself to move about.

Nice To Haves

Food handler safety certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Read tickets and monitor dish preparation and order fulfillment, paying special attention to dietary restrictions.
Call out orders to chefs and communicate special meal needs or instructions to staff.
Check food orders for temperature, accuracy, and presentation.
Notify servers when food is ready to serve.
Alert servers when the kitchen is out of specific ingredients.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and daily features.
Perform all duties on the Expo checklist.
Comply with company and local, state, and national regulations concerning food quality, cleanliness and sanitation, alcohol service, personnel, and safety.
Complete other duties as assigned.
