About The Position

The Expeditor communicates orders and information between the front of the house and back of the house. The role assembles food orders, helps check their accuracy, presentation, and quality, and coordinates each table’s orders so they are ready together and delivered at the appropriate temperature. Tattersall Distilling in River Falls is a destination distillery, event center, and dining experience. Its culinary team prepares elevated New American cuisine using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients whenever possible, and works collaboratively to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Tattersall is operated by Morrissey Hospitality, which includes restaurant, hotel, and event concepts.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience in a high-volume, high-energy food and beverage environment.
Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to move up to 30 pounds frequently.
Ability to position oneself to move about regularly.
Ability to operate and use kitchen station tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate with guests, employees, and management.
Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Food handler safety certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Read tickets and monitor dish preparation and order fulfillment, paying special attention to dietary restrictions.
Call out orders to chefs and communicate special meal needs or instructions to staff.
Check food orders for temperature, accuracy, and presentation.
Notify servers when food is ready to serve.
Alert servers when the kitchen is out of specific ingredients.
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and daily features.
Perform all duties on the Expo checklist.
Comply with company, local, state, and national regulations related to food quality, cleanliness and sanitation, alcohol service, personnel, and safety.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Coordinate orders for each table so they are ready at the same time and delivered at the appropriate temperature.
