About The Position

As part of the Food and Beverage team, the Server provides friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for resort guests. The position is anticipated to start in late April or early May. The Server makes recommendations about beverages, appetizers, entrées, and desserts; answers questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions and services; and delivers food and beverages accurately and promptly. The role also involves maintaining dining and service areas, monitoring guests’ dining experiences, responding courteously to requests, and completing assigned service tasks and checklists. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maximize the use of time, resources, and technology.
Professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
Excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.

Nice To Haves

TIPS/TAMS certification; certification may be obtained after employment.
Previous server experience.
POS experience.
Non-smoking candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

Recommend beverages, appetizers, entrées, and desserts to resort guests.
Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions and services.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests accurately and promptly.
Pre-bus tables between courses.
Perform side work required by the assigned service station.
Complete opening and closing checklists.
Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
Monitor and check on guests during their dining experience.
Ensure guests have an exceptional experience with the food and service.
Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
Attend scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
