About The Position

The Server at The Circular is responsible for providing guest service and must be proficient in knowledge of food, food-related items, and beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails, and cordials. The role involves working collaboratively and professionally with the team, maintaining communication with guests and the kitchen, taking and presenting orders, keeping tables clean and orderly, and completing side work. This is a part-time, year-round position requiring at least 16 hours per week. Schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to operational needs. The position is unionized, and scheduling is based on union seniority. Candidates must meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely include evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have verifiable work experience as a server.
Must present a clean, orderly, and professional appearance.
Must practice good hygiene and set an example for others in accordance with The Hotel Hershey standards.
Must be able to work at least 16 hours per week.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to work under pressure and competently handle the designated table section.
Must be able to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to meet scheduled requirements, most likely including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Work as a team in an efficient, professional, and guest-related manner.
Maintain constant communication with guests and the kitchen to provide guest satisfaction.
Take orders and present orders.
Keep guest tables clean and orderly, including clearing and resetting tables as needed.
Complete side work in a clean and orderly manner.
