About The Position

Milestone is seeking a Server to provide exceptional dining experiences for residents. The role involves delivering high-quality meal service, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and contributing to a pleasant, engaging atmosphere. The Server interacts directly with residents, families, and coworkers to foster a welcoming and positive community. The position is full-time, with a choice of a 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. schedule, and either a Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday workweek. Weekend and rotating holiday availability is required because Milestone is open year-round.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service preferred.
• Ability to obtain and hold any required local, state, or county food-handling or sanitation licenses.
• Must pass health screenings, TB clearance, a urine drug screen, and a background check.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and remain calm under pressure.
• Availability to work weekends and rotating holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dining preferences and dietary needs are met.
• Greet residents, take food and drink orders, deliver meals, bus tables, perform cleaning duties, and assist with washing dishes.
• Circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
• Follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards.
• Assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment.
• Report elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
