Server 7am-2pm $15-22 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Fremont located at 1520 E. Bates, Springfield, MO 65804. This part-time position is responsible for greeting residents, fostering a welcoming dining environment, preparing tables and salads, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating observations about residents' dietary habits or appetite changes to supervisors and Wellness staff. The role requires a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to communicate in English at an 8th-grade proficiency, and physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The Server will also assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and with transfers after falls.
Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency
- Positive and energetic attitude
- Active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
- Criminally cleared
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain
- Foster an environment where residents can connect
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware
- Bus tables
- Sweep floors
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed
- Communicate when residents are absent from meals
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking
- Assist persons after a fall
