About The Position
The Server (Seasonal) at Veranda, Hotel del Coronado, provides food and beverage service while creating memorable guest experiences. The role calls for a friendly, upbeat approach and proactive attention to opportunities to make each guest’s meal special. Servers learn menu items, promotions, and specials; take and enter orders in the point-of-sale system; promptly deliver completed orders; and keep the food service station stocked, clean, and organized. The position requires compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations. Hotel del Coronado is a 28-acre resort on Coronado Island near downtown San Diego. Built in 1888, the property has more than 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets.
Responsibilities
- Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and look for ways to make each meal experience special.
- Learn menu items, promotions, and specials to assist guests and answer questions confidently.
- Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and deliver completed orders promptly and accurately.
- Keep the food service station fully stocked, clean, and organized.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
