About The Position
The Food Server (Seasonal) at Frost Bite, Hotel del Coronado, provides food and beverage service while creating memorable guest experiences. The position calls for a friendly, upbeat approach, confidence in explaining menu items and specials, efficient order handling, and care in keeping the service station stocked, clean, and organized. The server must also follow applicable health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations. Hotel del Coronado is a 28-acre resort on Coronado Island, minutes from downtown San Diego. Built in 1888, the property has more than 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets.
Responsibilities
- Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make each meal experience special.
- Learn menu items, promotions, and specials to assist guests and answer questions confidently.
- Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and promptly deliver completed orders with attention to detail.
- Keep the food service station stocked, clean, and organized.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
