About The Position

The Station on Main is hiring a counter-service Server for on-call work. The role focuses on creating exceptional guest experiences by engaging guests, navigating menu offerings, identifying upselling opportunities, and providing attentive service. The Server takes and enters orders, serves food and beverages, assembles selected food items, processes payments, and maintains clean, organized service and dining areas. Requirements

• Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to perform essential functions on a computerized Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• Necessary state Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enter orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicate special requests to the culinary team.
• Assemble food items such as appetizers, salads, and soups.
• Ensure attractive, consistent presentation and correct serving temperatures for food and beverages.
• Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menu changes, and sold-out items.
• Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash-handling procedures.
• Keep the work area, including the guest dining area, clean and organized.
