About The Position

Benchmark at Alexandria is seeking an on-call Server to join its dining team at an assisted living community. The Server helps create a clean and welcoming dining environment and provides friendly, personalized service to residents. The role involves serving meals and beverages promptly, assisting residents with meal selections or specific needs, and preparing dining areas and meal service items.

Requirements

• Able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and applicable Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Able to serve food and beverages to residents promptly and efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand in one place for extended periods; the position is primarily standing.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from residents and serve meals promptly, ensuring they are presentable and appetizing.
• Set up and deliver meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assist residents who need help with meal selection or have specific needs.
• Set up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assist with inventorying supplies.
