About The Position

The Server provides quick, efficient, and pleasant food and beverage service to residents and guests, ensuring their needs are met. The role includes taking orders, communicating them to the kitchen, delivering orders promptly, responding to requests, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. The scheduled hours in the title are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Senior Lifestyle states compensation of $17 per hour.

Requirements

• No prior experience is necessary; the employer will provide training.
• Complete food safety training and obtain and/or maintain any required local, state, or county food-handling or sanitation licenses or certificates.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Have basic computer skills for using POS and payroll systems.
• Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Be able to solve practical problems and handle situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept food orders, communicate them to the kitchen, and deliver food and beverages to residents and guests in a timely manner.
• Respond quickly to residents’ and guests’ needs and requests to support their satisfaction.
• Bus and reset tables and complete assigned side work.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
