About The Position

Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant celebrating seasonal ingredients and the art of gathering through thoughtful menus and warm, welcoming spaces. The Server is part of the front-of-house team and helps create meaningful, memorable dining experiences through attentive guest service, food and beverage knowledge, and collaboration. The role includes greeting and guiding guests, accurately handling orders and payments, and presenting seasonal menu items and beverage pairings in a polished, welcoming manner.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an elevated, high-volume environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems, including Toast.
• Flexible availability, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, elevated service in a welcoming, nature-inspired setting.
• Guide guests through seasonal menus and beverage offerings, including dish preparation, ingredient sourcing, local purveyors, specials, and seasonal updates.
• Follow steps of service consistently and anticipate guest needs with prompt, thoughtful attention.
• Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm, poise, and genuine hospitality.
• Listen carefully and accurately account for guest allergies, preferences, and needs.
• Take and accurately enter orders using the Toast POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages in a timely and polished manner.
• Provide tableside wine service and engaging beverage presentations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization across service areas.
• Process payments accurately and follow café standards.
• Recommend suitable food and drink pairings and educate guests about wines, craft beers, non-alcoholic drinks, and specialty coffees.
• Complete seasonal menu testing as directed.
• Support teammates and collaborate with peers during service.
• Adapt to changing guest needs and service pacing in a dynamic dining environment.
• Participate in daily team meetings and seasonal tastings.
