About The Position
The Server at The Chase Club provides friendly, professional beverage service across restaurants, bars, lounges, pool areas, banquets, and events. The role involves taking and delivering beverage orders, maintaining knowledge of beverage offerings, responding to guest needs, accurately handling transactions, and keeping service areas clean and organized. The Server supports daily operations and events while following responsible alcohol service standards, food safety and sanitation procedures, and hotel policies. The position works collaboratively with Bartenders, Servers, Culinary teams, Banquets, and Food & Beverage leadership to create a welcoming, energetic, guest-focused experience.
Requirements
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills, with a friendly and engaging personality.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, presentation, and guest experience standards.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest engagement, and creating memorable food and beverage experiences.
Nice To Haves
- Previous beverage service, restaurant, bar, hospitality, hotel, banquet, or customer service experience.
- Knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Experience using POS systems and accurately handling cash transactions.
- Food Handler Certification, TIPS Certification, or alcohol service certification, where required.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive beverage service to guests in restaurants, bars, lounges, pool areas, banquets, and event spaces.
- Accurately take beverage orders and efficiently deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining presentation and service standards.
- Maintain knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, specialty beverages, and menu offerings, and provide guest recommendations.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.
- Process orders, payments, and transactions accurately using POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of beverage stations, service areas, bars, and guest-facing spaces.
- Support opening and closing duties, restocking, side work, inventory support, and operational setup tasks.
- Follow responsible alcohol service standards, food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and hotel operational policies.
- Coordinate with Bartenders, Servers, Culinary teams, Banquets, and Food & Beverage leadership to support smooth operations.
- Assist with banquet functions, special events, pool service, and high-volume hospitality operations as needed.
- Help create a welcoming, energetic, guest-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
