About The Position

The Banquet Server at The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. The role provides warm, professional service, maintains food safety and sanitation standards, and supports dining room setup and cleanliness before, during, and after service. The server also coordinates with back-of-house staff and other departments to accommodate guest requests and support special events and functions.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders following established service steps.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up on guests’ additional needs or requests.
• Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, note preferences, and demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Communicate effectively and work well with others, remaining flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
• Set up the dining room before service, maintain its cleanliness during service, and leave it properly set up and clean afterward while meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
