About The Position

Colonial Heritage Club is hiring Banquet Servers to help provide members and guests with a welcoming, high-quality experience at events. The role includes greeting and seating guests, explaining menus and specials, taking and coordinating food and beverage orders, checking plates, serving beverages and wine, attending to guest needs, processing payments, and maintaining clean, properly set tables and service areas. Servers also answer phones and assist the team as needed.

Training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures, Training Checklists, and Departmental Handbooks, will be provided. Requirements

• Knowledge of state liquor laws.
• Ability to check identification and recognize when a guest has had enough alcohol.
• Friendly, professional manner, including when interacting with an unhappy guest.
• Organized and dependable, with the ability to stay calm when plans change.
• Team-oriented approach and willingness to help without being asked.

Nice To Haves

• Restaurant or banquet experience; training may be provided to the right person.
• Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, assist with seating, and explain menus, wine lists, and daily specials.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
• Check plates before they are served and work with the kitchen to correct issues.
• Present and pour wine and champagne appropriately.
• Refill drinks, suggest desserts, and monitor guests for additional needs.
• Handle checks, payments, and receipts, and close out daily sales.
• Clear and reset tables, keep the service area clean, and assist with closing duties.
• Answer the phone and help wherever the team needs assistance.
