About The Position

As a Banquet Server, you’ll help deliver polished, attentive catering service for private events for members and guests. The role helps ensure each function runs smoothly, looks professional, and feels welcoming. You’ll work with the banquet team to provide service, prepare and close out event spaces, and respond to changing event timing while maintaining club standards. A typical shift involves reviewing function details and connecting with the banquet lead before guests arrive. During the event, you’ll work between the floor and service areas, keep your section organized, adjust to timing changes, reset between courses or program moments, and watch for anything that could disrupt the guest experience. At the end of the function, you’ll help close out the room and review notes from the lead.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of Food & Beverage, catering, or banquet service experience.
Working knowledge of catering terms.
Strong guest service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Country club experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow event directions from the Private Events Director and/or Banquet Captain.
Provide courteous table service consistent with club standards.
Assist with room preparation, set-up, and breakdown as needed.
Set tables and place settings according to the event plan.
Attend pre-function briefings.
Remain at the assigned station and complete tasks as directed.
Escalate guest concerns to the Banquet Captain or Private Events Director.
Comply with food and alcohol safety and grooming policies.
Keep the assigned section organized and adjust to changes in event timing.
Reset the room between courses or program moments and help close out the room after the function.
