About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Server to work at the Marriott Nashville Airport. The role focuses on providing positive guest experiences by taking orders, monitoring food service, maintaining a clean and properly set station, and handling payments. The Server must know menu items and service procedures and follow applicable rules for serving alcoholic beverages. The position requires at least one year of hotel or restaurant serving experience and the ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Requirements

• At least a high school education.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Ability to work as part of a team and multitask.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic mathematical skills for making change and issuing refunds.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct guests and are properly prepared and presented, and that the buffet is appealing.
• Check the station before, during, and after shifts to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations concerning service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Become familiar with menu items, preparation, and service procedures.
• Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
