About The Position
Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Server for the Marriott Nashville Airport. The role focuses on providing memorable guest experiences by taking orders, delivering food accurately, maintaining a clean and properly set station, and providing courteous payment service. Servers must know menu items and service procedures, follow applicable liquor regulations, assist with bussing tables, and perform other duties as assigned. The position requires flexible hours and shifts and involves working collaboratively to meet guest and team expectations.
Requirements
- At least a high school education.
- At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Team-player attitude.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
- Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
- Basic mathematical skills for making change and giving refunds.
Nice To Haves
- Post-high-school education preferred.
Responsibilities
- Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
- Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct guests and are properly prepared and presented, or that the buffet is appealing.
- Check the station before, during, and after the shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
- Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations, including rules for serving minors and intoxicated guests.
- Maintain familiarity with menu items, preparation, and service procedures.
- Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
- Assist with bussing tables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
