About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. You welcome guests, assist them with menu selections, respond professionally to questions and requests, and monitor their needs throughout the meal. You also promote specials and other menu items, coordinate with restaurant colleagues, and follow food safety, alcohol service, cash-handling, and company procedures. Training is provided. The position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide courteous, attentive service throughout their visit.
Help guests select menu items and explain food and beverage offerings.
Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter them into the restaurant's POS system, and check them before submitting them to the kitchen.
Coordinate guests' special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals have the correct condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guests' needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items.
Set up and clean tables and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and requests to relevant team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines and food safety regulations, as well as company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
