About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Server to provide exceptional dining service to residents and help create a pleasant, enjoyable dining experience. The role calls for a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life through meaningful connection and care at mealtimes. The Server assists with meal service, including helping residents select menu items and accommodating dietary restrictions. The role also involves preparing and cleaning dining areas, serving food and beverages, maintaining dining and service areas, coordinating with kitchen staff, responding to resident requests, and helping with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings. Servers provide personalized attention with consideration for residents’ mobility, memory, or sensory limitations and build professional relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
- Excellence in maintaining food safety and sanitation practices.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with servers, kitchen staff, and care team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make confident ethical decisions.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to navigate dining areas safely while serving, including frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

- Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to residents during meal service.
- Assist residents with menu selections and accommodate dietary restrictions.
- Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
- Serve meals and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal service.
- Engage with residents and guests to create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere.
- Provide personalized attention to residents, considering mobility, memory, or sensory limitations.
- Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist with special events, holiday meals, and family gatherings as needed.
- Build positive, professional ongoing relationships with residents, families, and team members.
